The Aare Atunluse of Awori Kingdom and the Chairman, Mapcotec Nigeria Limited, Aare (Surveyor) Dr. Segun Osifeso, has described the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, as a pride to the Yoruba race with his dedication to merging African heritage with global innovation.
Osifeso, who made these remarks during a chat with Pt at Ota, Ogun State on Tuesday, noted that since his ascension on the throne of his forebears, Ooni Ogunwusi has upheld a legacy of excellence, innovation and cultural renewal.
He prayed for a long and prosperous reign for the Ooni as he celebrated his 10th coronation anniversary, stressing that the Yoruba foremost traditional ruler had led the stool of Oduduwa with uncommon courage and transformational leadership.
Aare Osifeso stressed that prior to Ooni Ogunwusi’s ascension to the throne, he had grown into a respected figure within Nigeria’s corporate landscape and beyond, adding that his warmth, wisdom and unwavering commitment to service have endeared him to all and sundry.
The renowned Surveyor described Ooni Ogunwusi as not only an inspiration to many, but also a compassionate philanthropist, exceptional leader and a treasured gift to the Yoruba race.
He, however, lauded the Ooni for advancing education as a tool for generational transformation with his establishment of the high – brow Ojaja University.
” The Yoruba race will for ever remain grateful for the Ooni’s transformational reign that has elevated Yoruba civilization beyond imagination”.
The community leader noted that since the Ooni’s ascension to the throne, he has not only done his best to unite all Yoruba monarchs, but has equally remained committed to service, especially in youth empowerment, promotion of African heritage and community upliftment, thereby reinforcing his belief that leadership is rooted in compassion and service.
