Pentouch As the battle between the Ibadan High Chiefs and the Former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja over the installation of Chief Lekan Balogun as the next Olubadan lingers on ,the beaded Obas have eaten the humble pie as they finally dropped their Crown.
Investigation revealed that they (the beaded Obas) dropped their ego and reverted back to High Chiefs when the reality was finally done on them that they can not achieve anything unless they go back to status quo.
Investigation further revealed that despite the endorsement of Chief Balogun by the beaded Obas the Governor of Oyo State Seyi Makinde can not endorsed their candidate because he will run afoul of the law as only High Chiefs can form the Ibadan council of Obas and not Obas before a new Olubadan can be chosen.
Pt learned that they (the Former Obas ) have sent a letter to Makinde renouncing their Obaship title .
A source close to Senator Rasheed Ladoja’s camp told PT that he (Ladoja) is highly elated about the humility of the High Chiefs and he has promised to support their preferred candidate for the Olubadan Stool.
As the Governor of Oyo State ,the Chiefs and Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja goes into a close meeting today a new Olubadan will be announced soon.
