The Mainland Independent Group (MIG), a prominent political organization in Lagos State, has kicked off its 2027 re-election campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with a day of prayer, empowerment, and declaration.
The event, held on Saturday, 17 January, 2026, at Orepeju Social Club Hall, Ebute Meta, Mainland, brought together top party leaders, politicians, and stakeholders to demonstrate their unwavering support for Asiwaju’s re-election bid.
In a marathon prayer session, attendees prayed for the success and re-election of President Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, Deputy Governor Dr. Femi Hamzat, and other party leaders.
Keynote speaker, Alhaji Engr. Usman Olawale Saheed, Chief Imam of LAWMA Muslim Community, emphasized the importance of loyalty to the party and urged members to work towards Asiwaju’s re-election.
Party leaders, including Hon. Omolola Essen, Hon. Dr. Tokunbo Oluwole, Hon. Mohammed Sharu Kpatako and Hon. Matti Ismàel Eshinlokun representing APC Lagos State Chairman, including ALAJI Ibrahim Alao Megida DG MIG and SA to Dr Tunji Bello on political matters addressed attendees, highlighting Asiwaju’s achievements and calling for improved party registration and voter card registration efforts.
The event also featured the empowerment of party members with money and food items, courtesy of Dr. Tunji Bello, the sole sponsor of the event, and MIG, led by Hon. Ibrahim Alao Megida.
Dr. Tunji Bello, the ground patron of MIG, has pledged his support for Asiwaju’s re-election bid, and urged party members to rally behind the president.
The event was also attended and addressed by prominent politicians, including Hon. Tajudeen Agoro, Hon. Bosun Agoro, and Hon. Sawyer, and others.
