A support group for the Labour Party Presidential Candidate ,Peter Obi known as OBI-DIENT Global Movement was Inaugurated in Abeokuta ,Ogun State on Monday 25,July 2022.
The event which took place at the NLC building,Moshood Abiola way,Lemme ,Abeokuta ,Ogun State was attended by Peter Obi supporters from Ogun State and it’s environs.
Speaking at the Inauguration,the Ogun State Chairman of the movement Mr Abiidun Adewuni said the support group is not just a group but a movement all over Nigeria and is being supported by Nigerians in Diaspora who want the best for the country.
Adewuni said that those abroad wants to come home but they are scared because of the problem of bad governance hence they demanded for a change ‘and thier believe is that it’s only Peter Obi that can make the expected change,that’s why they throw thier weight behind him ‘
Continue he said if Obi is voted into power there will be positive change in the country and those abroad will come home and invest in the economy
The Ogun State Chairman of OBI-DIENT Global Movement told Pt that other state chapters are being Inaugurated one after the other ‘this movement is real and our destination is Aso rock come 2023’.
Apart from the launching of the Ogun State chapter of the movement,Senatorial and Local government coordinators were also unveiled.
The event was attended by members,Senatorial , House of Assembly , House of Rep.contestants and a representative of the gubernatorial Candidate of the party and others.
