Renowned Motivational speaker, writer and philanthropist, Dr. Dayo Olomu, will be honored with a humanitarian recognition award at the Ladies Purple Night 2023 on Saturday, 1 July 2023.
According to the organizer, Ms. Gladys Ndimuntoh, Olomu is being recognized for his remarkable contributions to the world. Through his athletic feats, philanthropic endeavors and mentorship of young people and professionals. She said: ‘Dayo has shown that one person can make a significant difference’.
Dayo’s athletic accomplishments include four half marathons, three marathons, two sleep roughs, a 100km London to Brighton challenge, a skydiving adventure, a mountain climbing and a London Trek26.
However, his impact goes beyond sports.
He is a dedicated philanthropist who has given back to the community through charitable work. He supports his local Foodbank and has established the Dayo Olomu Foundation, which helps young people achieve their dreams.
Dayo’s influence is not measured by the money he has raised or the miles he has run for various causes. His true impact lies in the lives he has touched and the inspiration he has provided. He shows that success can be achieved while also giving back to others.
His generosity and compassion have also earned him respect and admiration. His message is simple yet powerful: “everyone can make a positive difference in the world.”
As Desmond Tutu once said to Dayo, “Do your little bit of good wherever you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” Dayo embodies this message and inspires others to do the same.
Dayo Olomu’s story reminds us that we all have the power to make a positive difference. Together, we can create a brighter future. Dayo’s impact is immeasurable, and his legacy will continue to inspire others.
In addition to his humanitarian work, Dayo has various interests including running marathons, fire walking, board-breaking, bar-bending, mountain climbing, skydiving, long distance walking, and sleeping rough in stadiums to raise funds for charities. He is also a long-suffering Arsenal fan.
