The 43rd Olubadan of Ibadan Oba Owolabi Olakulehin has commenced his final rites ahead of his coronation and presentation of staff of office by the Governor of Oyo State Engineer Seyi Makinde.
Investigation revealed that as soon as he (Olakulehin) was prevented as the Olubadan of Ibadan he has since commenced the compulsory seclusion otherwise known as ‘Ipebi’.
Investigation further revealed that after Governor Makinde announced 12, July date for the Coronation and presentation of staff of office the Kingmakers led by the Oluwo have started speeding up the process of crowning because according to them it is exclusive to the Kingmakers,the governor can only present the mandatory staff of office.
Pt learned that the coronation ceremony will commence tomorrow 5, July 2024 with the formal opening of the ultramodern palace at Oke Aremo , Ibadan,Oyo State. By the governor of the State of his representative.
Meanwhile Governor Seyi Makinde has constituted a coronation committee that will work with the Kingmakers ahead of the final coronation schedule for Friday 12, July 2024.
