The CEO of Adedas and Global Service Limited, Prince AMB (Dr.) Adedipe Dauda Ewenla has been honoured with the title of Akinjagunla Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland.
Ewenla was conferred with the Chieftaincy title by the 15th Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams during the 7th year anniversary of the confirment of the title of Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland on the 13th of January 2025.
Speaking during the installation which coincided with the day Governor Seyi Makinde presented the staff of office to the new Alaafin of Oyo, Adams said that he decided to honour Ewenla with the title because of his commitment to the cause of Yoruba culture and values over the years.
The Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland however enjoins the Akinjagunla Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland to continue to uphold the culture and values of the Yoruba nation.
“I urge you to continue to uphold the culture and values of the Yorubas by so doing Yoruba nation will be a strong force to be reckoned with globally”.
In his acceptance speech, Prince Amb. Dr. Adedipe Dauda Ewenla promised to continue to do his best in upholding the culture and values of the Yoruba nation adding that the culture and values of the Yoruba nation is paramount to him.
He further said, “I also congratulate the new Alaafin of Oyo Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, he’s the best man for the throne (Ade ape lori o).”
In his final speech, he mentioned that “I will continue to do my very best in upholding the culture and values of the Yorubas because it is uppermost in my heart and I also want to use this opportunity to thank our great leader Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams for finding me worthy for this title I am not going to disappoint you Sir”.
