As the countdown to the forthcoming governorship poll in Edo State hots up, different groups have steamed up their campaign for the success of their choice candidates at the polls.
A group known as Asue Ighodalo Patriots(AIP), has affirmed its support for the Asue Ighodalo/Osarodion Ogie, governorship and deputy governorship ticket of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) for the 22 ,September 2024, poll.
Members of the group pledged their loyalty to the PDP flag bearer during its Edo South Chapter meeting held on Sunday.They call for the support of others in ensuring that the duo come out victorious..
At the meeting members of the group in the seven local government areas that make up Edo South namely Oredo, Ikpoba Okha, Egor, Orhionmwon, Ovia North East, Ovia South West ,they unanimously call for support for the PDP duo of Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie come Saturday, 21 September 2024.
In attendance at the meeting, which was the AIP’s July edition,are units and ward coordinators of the Edo South chapter of the group, who all gave a nod to the clarion call for the emergence of the PDP as winners of the guber poll.
Notable members present at the meeting are Mr. Paul Smith Eghobor (Convener), Patra Cole(Deputy State Coordinator), Mr. Clinton Idahosa(Edo South Coordinator) and the seven Edo South Local Government Areas Coordinators.
