Former President of Federal Republic of Nigeria General Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo retd. has said that he will still live for more than fifteen years on earth.
The 87 year Old Obasanjo make this assertion in Awowo,Ogun State during the 65th birthday of Oba Olasunkanmi Abdugafari,the Alawowo of Awowo Kingdom,on Tuesday 24, December 2024(Christmas eve).
The “Ebora Owu “who was accompanied to the ceremony by the Olowu of Owu kingdom ,Oba Prof Saka Adelola Matemilola prayed for the celebrant that he will witnessed more years on earth and that he is very impressed with his performance since he ascended the throne “that why I’m here today and God Willing as I have witnessed your 65th birthday,i will be at your 70th ,75th and 80th after which I may be waving at you from the other side but if God say I will still be alive who am i to say no?”
During his short but memorable presence the ever agile and humorous “Ebora Owu” also danced to the music of Aare Sir Shina Akanni Aroworeyin Scorpido who was on the band stand with the celebrant and other dignitaries before leaving the venue.
Present at the the birthday celebration are Obas from far and wide , including Oba Babatunde Sonola,the Olu of Makogi ,Ogun ,members of “Ijoko Agba” led by DIG Jubril retd.Alhaji Iyana Fatai,Aare Ogunwolu Musibau,Chief Olaniran, Baale of Olorunsogo Matogbun ,Ganiyu Olayiwola Badmus and others.
