Following the continuous increase in the price of soft drinks making it virtually unaffordable for the common man, Lagosians and people around Ogun State and it’s environs seem to have stopped consuming any form of soft drinks.
Investigation revealed that they (soft drinks consumers) have started consuming a kind of fan ice produced by a Shagamu, Ogun State based company.
The drink named Lucky Bang Ice Lolly otherwise known as “LA -PI-O-PI-O” comes in different flavor like cola, etc.
Investigation further revealed that the drink is cheap, iced and is currently creating employment for a lot of people and becoming very popular among students, youths, market women, motorists and many low income earners. Its retail price is about one hundred naira only.
Market survey revealed that the product is seriously gaining grounds in the soft drinks space and edging towards a larger market share.
