Avancee Pinnacle ,the owners of Pay1One ,a smart revenue Assurance expert , on Saturday gave scholarships to about 100 students drawn from different secondary schools in Lagos State.
Speaking at event tagged ‘Teens enlightenment forum’ held at BOS hall,inside the Lagos television,Agidingbi ,the Managing Director of Avancee Pinnacle, Tolu Oluyemi said that the programme was packaged to coincide with Nigeria’s independence because,’we want to raise new technology giants and set them on the path of being leaders of tomorrow, our problem as Nigerians is lack of adaptation to technology to drive processes and automation in grass root public service hence massive leakages in the sector and when there are leakages there will be corruption ‘.
Continuing Oluyemi said the students who were awarded scholarships will be enrolled in a software development school where they will have the opportunity to learn the latest skills in software, which will equip them for near future challenges .
Before the presentation of the scholarships the students were mentored in different skills in science and technology by experts such as Dr Leonard Okonkwo ,Jeremiah Matt of Metadap Communications ,Olanrewaju Oyinboke ,Tolu Oluyemi and others.
The students were selected from Manners and character centre ,Majnal Bahraju Academy, Dairy Farm Senior secondary school,Sonmori Comprehensive high school,Ifako senior comprehensive high school, Highland college,Riyadu saeehran school, African church model college,Dairy Farm Senior secondary school,,Sango senior secondary school and Oke-Ira senior grammar school.
