A media Guru and the Publisher of Nigerian Heritage magazine Otunba Olusoga Basolahas been installed as the 14th President of Ota County Lions Club District 404B-1 Nigeria.
Basola’s colourful installation was performed on Monday 3, October 2023 by the the District Governor 2022/2023 Lion Lady Kema Benedicta Ashibuogwu at the Maridon Palace Hotel & Suites ,Ota Ogun State
Before the public presentation of the new Lion King ,Lion Lady Ashibuogwu enjoined him to be more committed to Lionism and that he should see himself as a servant who must serve more than being a boss.
In his valedictory speech, the outgoing President of the Club ,Lion Temitope Esho thank God ,the entire member ins of Lions international,well wisher and others for a successful tenure ,he however appealed to them to support the incoming President because he has the capacity to deliver.
Speaking after his installation Lion Otunba Soga Basola thank the DG,members of Ota County Lions Club ,invited guests and others for their support with a promise to deliver .
He said that the theme of the year 2022/2023 Lionistic year is “New thinking,New horizon”,And we will key into all the district ‘activities namely ; Childhood Cancer,Vision and preventable blindness,youth empowerment,diabetes awareness campaign and feeding of the hungry .Our core project for this year is completion of the ongoing construction of the community health centre at Oniwon Village,Ilogbo,Ogun State.”.
Present at the well attended three in one events which is the official presentation, installation of other club officers and fundraising for club projects are ,His Royal Highness Oba Taiwo Taiwo ,Amororo11 ,Onipara of Ipara Remo ,Prince Adewole Sowole,,Arc.Tokunbo Fowode,,former Rector MAPOLY,Lion TPL Waheed Kadiri,invited club and others.
