
Two nursing mothers and eight other inmates of the Nigerian Correctional Center, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State, regained freedom on Wednesday 26, February 2025 when the Itori monarch in Ewekoro Local Government area of Ogun State ,Oba Abdul Fatai Akamo paid a visit to the centre in commemoration of his 21years on the throne.
Oba Akamo who assisted the inmates by Paying the needed fines and other requirement also make provisions for them to return to their respective homes.
While urging the freed inmates to be of good behavior, the Itori Monarch who visited the centre in company of Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Saka Matemilola also donated cash and gift items to the correctional home.
While advising the released inmates to be of good behavior and reflect on the lesson they have learned in detention the Controller of the centre Adesina Abioye thanked the Monarch for the kind gesture
The traditional ruler of Itori Kingdom also extended gestures to Stella Obasanjo Children Home, patients of State Hospital, Sokenu and Sacred Heart Hospital, Abeokuta,Ogun State.
