
Hotel owners in Nigeria have agreed to come under one umbrella body known as Nigeria Hotel Association (NHA).
This decision was taken at the delegate meeting held in Lagos on 6, May 2025.
Before the meeting, a reconciliation committee led by Alhaji Dr. Madaki Aliyu was set up by the National body to look at ways of coming together and form a formidable team.

Speaking during the meeting the National President, Nigeria Hotel Association, His Highness Eze Patrick Anyawu said the meeting is very important because “it is a significant step in our journey as a united body.”
Three agenda were discussed at the meeting which are:
review of the reconciliation committee report,
forthcoming general, election and
registration, inauguration and annual dues.
After deliberation, the following decisions were made…
that all Hotel owners in Nigeria will come under a single entity and the name shall be Nigeria Hotel Association (NHA),
members would be classified on State to state basis and
an electoral committee was constituted.
An electoral committee with members drawn from different geo political zones were constituted, they are Eugene Nwauzi (Rivers State), Chairman, Chima Dike (Imole State, Secretary, other members are Donald Pwajok (North Central), Ide Israel (North East),Hon Steven Abimbola (South West).
The meeting hosted by Lagos Hoteliers Association led by Chief Jamiu Talabi was attended by Chief A.O . Julius, Akibu Bankole, Dr. Dapo Olaleye, General Secretary, South West zone of Hoteliers Association, Prince Charles Eze, George Oshiokamele from Kano State and members from Akwa Ibom, Rivers State, Nasarawa and other states of the federation.
