Following car gifts and other incentives given to a popular actress, Madam Margaret Bamidele Olayinka aka Iya Gbonkan, when she solicited for help through social media, other movie stars have followed suit. Others who have received car gifts through the same means are Lalude, Alapini Osha and Pariolodo.
Lately, Chief Tajudeen Oyewole aka Abija, has also taken to social media to beg for a car from his fans both home and abroad.
This attitude of begging did not go down well with Nigerians who tagged them as “corporate” beggars because this development is increasingly ridiculing them before a lot of people especially netizens.
First to criticize the beggarly attitude of the artistes is the National President of TAMPAN, Bolaji Amusan aka Pa Latin, who said that those begging did not register with the association property hence they did not benefit from the welfare package given to those in need especially the elderly.
Other critics on social media frown at this attitude describing those begging as lazy and never do well people considering their status in the movie industry.
Citing the example of Dayo Adewunmi aka Suebebe, who claimed to have used a reckless life during his heydays and now soliciting for financial support, the fans advised others to make the best use of opportunities that might come their way.
