If PT findings are anything to go by, then it’s safe to say that most Nigerian women have thrown both caution and culture to the wind as they lavishly expose their breasts at parties and other social gatherings.
Investigation revealed that the current “reveal your breast” trend is so rampant to the extent that they have turned this indecent exposure into competition among themselves despising the inconvenience to themselves and condemnation of such indecency by some in the society.
At social gatherings PT discovered that most of these ladies, under the guise of fashion, reveal their breasts of varying sizes and shapes ranging from big, small and medium; firm, sagged, bleached and some utterly disgusting to behold.
This ongoing trend among Nigerian women has received lots of criticism from social media, critics among others.
Recently a security outfit in Anambra State declared its intention to arrest women seen in public without bra and panties.
Based on this disturbing trend PT decided to seek the opinion of some people on the ongoing “reveal your breast” trend on the society.
Wes Billion a fast rising hip-hop star condemned the trend outright saying it is not morally right “we are Africans and Africans don’t dress this indecent…exposing your breast is morally wrong.”
In his recent post on Facebook, Seun Oloketuyi aka Mr. BON described the so called fashion as absurd and very disgusting “if those who are supposed to be a role model to others are exposing their breasts what do you expect those following their footsteps to do? Go naked?”
A business woman Abike Fatimoh Adeniyi said the trend is against the norms of an African society, “even the whites we are copying don’t expose their beasts this way, when Africans especially Nigerians copy something from the western world, they go the extreme route.”
Eedris Lawal, a journalist is indifferent about the trend adding that, “an adult is free to do whatever pleases him or her in as much it’s not disturbing others.”
Temitope Adegoke said that there is no basis to raise alarm over the so called indecent exposure of breast because as far as he is concerned, he doesn’t consider it indecent. He further added, “none of them has exposed their nipples yet, so until that is visible, only then can it be considered immoral.”
