The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has urged the residents of the State shun any form of violence.
Speaking after an emergency meeting held at its State Secretariat, in Abeokuta on Tuesday, through a release issued by the Publicity secretary of the APC, the party called on the people of Ogun State to embrace peace and to continue to support the government of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu at the Federal level and that of Prince Dapo Abiodun at the State level.
Oladunjoye said at the meeting was attended by the Ward Chairmen from the 236 wards, Local Government Party Chairmen and Secretaries from the 20 local government areas and members of the State Executive Committee of the Party and presided over by the State Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi.
Chief Sanusi expressed his appreciation to the people of Ogun State, especially the youth, who have always maintained peace and refrained from the destruction of properties; as this was the case during the #EndSars protest and therefore urged the people of Ogun State to do all that is possible to maintain peace and harmony for which Ogun State is well known for.
He added that the Chairman also revealed the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu within just 14 months in office and most of which Ogun State continues to benefit from. The party chairman informed further the general government has approved the construction of Ilaro- Iboro road.l at a cost of N57 Billion .
While commending Governor Dapo Abiodun for engaging the Youth in Ogun State and seeing them as catalysts for
Development;The party chairman appreciated them (the youths) for promising not to join the protest.
