The death has occurred of one of the wives of the late Kennery Exponent Dr.Orlando Owoh , Mrs Muibat.Owomoyela.
Mrs Owomoyela was said to have died at her residence, 6, Karimu Oyelade, Papa Asafa, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos on Wednesday ,24 July 2024.
Pt learned that the late Muirat was a journalist in one of the Nigerian newspapers in the early 70s before she got married to Orlando.
She will also be remembered for the owning up to the cocaine saga during which Orlando Owoh was alleged to have been framed up in 1986, after which the music icon produced an album where he bemoaned the gruesome murder of *Dele Giwa* through a parcel bomb.
Orlando Owoh later ended up in prison at Alagbon, Ikoyi and Kirikiri prisons in Lagos Nigeria and after some legal battles he(Orlando ) was released while Muibat was jailed and spent some years in prison before she was exonerated of the charges and eventually released.
She is survived by children and grand children .
