
The paramount ruler of Ikareland,His Royal Majesty,HRM,Oba Alhaji Akadri Momoh IV, Olukare of Ikare-Akoko ,Ondo State has wield the big stick
by imposing a strong penalty on all the Chiefs alleged to have acted as guarantors to the operator of the investment scam rocking Akokoland, Sky Bet Bank recently.
The suspension placed by Oba Momoh,the Olukare, was the first punitive effort from the Palace to bring the perpetrators to book.
Investigation revealed that when the investment company arrived at Akoko and started their operations marketing with those bogus promises of a high yield returns on all investment that the people became weary.
But the guarantee from the allegedly suspected High Chiefs reposed the confidence of the SkyBet Bank into the mindset and subconscious of the people as a genuinely stable investment entity.
It was unfortunate that within a few months the operation of SkyBet Bank at Ikare-Akoko brought woes to the unsuspected investors as millions of naira were trapped in the ponzi scheme.
The exposed and now suspended Chiefs were the faceless individuals that acted as guarantors to Sky Bet Bank that scammed the Ikare Akoko people.
Pt learned that some High Chiefs from Ikare-Akoko alleged behind the Ponzi Scheme are: (1) Chief Balogun Saheed Ajiromoke, Olusa Ishakunmen, (2) Chief Bankole Sunday Ehinmola, Olode Aben, (3) Chief Mogaji Abiodun, Olode Sekute and (4) Chief Ayuba Salau Ipinola Okoronmu,.
These Chiefs were accused of misconduct that negatively impacted innocent residents of Ikare-Akoko and subsequently, The Olukare of Ikare, Oba Akadiri Saliu Momoh (IV) has taken action by suspending the four chiefs accused of the alleged fraudulent activities.
