Renowned Fuji musicians, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and Taye Akande Adebisi, popularly known as Taye Currency, have mended their long-standing rift during the ongoing Umrah pilgrimage in Mecca.
A recent video circulating online shows Taiye begging Pasuma for forgiveness claiming he did not set out to insult him but to set some records straight.
In his response Pasuma told him that there is no more war since he has begged for forgiveness.
Later the two artistes engaged in heartfelt conversation, symbolising their renewed camaraderie.
The discord between Pasuma and his former protégé, Taye Currency, began in 2024 when Taye publicly rejected being referred to as Pasuma’s ‘son’ in the music industry, asserting that their relationship was more akin to that of brothers.
This stance led to a series of subtle and overt exchanges between the two on social media, causing a stir among their fans.
In October 2024, Taye Currency’s remarks sparked widespread debate online, drawing criticism from Pasuma’s supporters.
Following the backlash, Taye issued a public apology, expressing regret for any offense caused and extending an olive branch to Pasuma.
The recent reconciliation in Mecca has been met with enthusiasm from fans and the Fuji music community, who view this development as a positive step towards unity in the industry.
