A poultry farmer, Abiodun Aderemi has alleged a threat to his life by members of a notorious cult group over his niece Gbolahan Adebiyi who is currently hibernating abroad. Investigation revealed that Adebiyi, a staff member of National University who was instrumental to the expulsion of a member of the group because of the University policy and official obligation fled the country in 2019 when the group were bent on killing him and members of his Family.
PT gathered that after he travelled out of the country they (the group) trailed his elder brother, Tubosun Adebiyi to a popular pub in Egbeda, area of Lagos State and his drink was alleged to have been laced with a poisonous substance.
The poisoned Tubosun Adebiyi was said to have died in a private hospital around Maricas, a Lagos suburb the following day.
PT learned that after killing Gbolahan’s elder brother the cultist also trailed his widow to her abode in Lagos on another vengeance mission in January 2023 .She was said to have escaped death by whiskers.
While appealing to the Federal Government of Nigeria to take the issues of security very seriously Abiodun Aderemi who was attacked in November 2022 and is currently taking refuge in an undisclosed location, said the latest attack on him and Tubosun Adebiyi widow is scary and the family need the protection of the Federal Government as most Nigerians do not have confidence in the Police ‘And this may discourage those abroad from coming home to invest’.
