10 days after the death of Alhaji Taiwo Hassan popularly known as Ogogo death has hit Nollywood again as Atinuke Remilekun Kareem aka Atinuke Kareem,has died after a prolonged battle with breast cancer.
The actress’s death was announced on Tuesday afternoon by Owolabi Ajasa, the Ogun State Governor of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
Ajasa made the announcement in a statement shared on his Instagram page, where he expressed sadness over the actress’s passing and appreciated individuals who supported her throughout her illness.
He acknowledged the financial, emotional and moral support extended to Kareem during her treatment, particularly as she battled the disease for an extended period.
The news has since thrown members of the Yoruba movie industry and her fans into mourning, with tributes expected to continue pouring in for the late actress.
Further details about her burial arrangements are expected to be announced by her family and colleagues.
