A 45-year-old woman, Stella Nwaigbo has been sent to Kirikiri Correctional facility till 18 February 2025 following an abuse on a three year old child.
Nwadigbo, has been arraigned before Magistrate Court 1 in Ogba, Lagos, on charges of indecent treatment and assault of a three-year-old pupil.
A video that went viral showed Nwadigbo abusing the young child during the incident, which took place in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
Following receipt of the video, the Family Support Unit (FSU) of Ikorodu Police Division promptly arrested the suspect on Wednesday, 8, January 2025, transferred her to the Gender Unit of the Command Headquarters the same day after preliminary investigations.
The Lagos State Police Command disclosed on Thursday that Nwadigbo has been arraigned before Magistrate Court.
The victim was taken to a medical facility for proper medical care, according to police spokesperson CSP Benjamin Hundeyin.
