Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos West Senatorial District have unanimously endorsed Senator (Dr.) Idiat Oluranti Adebule as the party’s candidate for a second term in the Senate, representing the people of Lagos West.

Secretary, Lagos West Senatorial Leaders was reached during a high-level meeting of Lagos West Senatorial Leaders held on Sunday, May 2, 2026, at the residence of Hon. Chief Otunba Dele Ajomale. The gathering brought together prominent party leaders, council chairmen, and key political stakeholders from across the district.
Salvador -Adebayo said the motion for the adoption of Senator Adebule for a second term under the APC platform was formally moved by Barrister Ademola Sodiq, former Party Legal Adviser. The motion received strong backing and was seconded by Hon. Adedaramola Kasumu, representing Ikeja Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly. Further reinforcing the consensus, Hon. Kasumu also moved a supporting motion, while Alhaja Ajao from Amuwo-Odofin Local Government expressed firm support for the endorsement.
And the meeting was chaired by Chief Rabiu Oluwa, Chairman of Lagos West Senatorial Leaders, and anchored by Hon. Prince Gboyega Salvador-Adebayo, Secretary of the forum.
The process enjoyed the presence and support of distinguished party leaders and stakeholders, including Senator Musiliu Obanikoro; Dr. Abayomi Finnih (GAC Member); Chief Aboyade (Vice Chairman, Lagos West); Otunba Jide Oni; Hon. During the proceedings, highlights of Senator Adebule’s achievements in her first term were presented, showcasing her impactful representation, legislative contributions, and unwavering commitment to the development of Lagos West Senatorial District. Following this presentation, members unanimously affirmed their confidence in her leadership and capacity to deliver even greater dividends of democracy in a second term.
The endorsement reflects the collective will, unity, and trust of APC leaders and stakeholders in Lagos West, reaffirming Senator Adebule as the preferred candidate to continue advancing the interests of the district at the National Assembly.
