As Live Band music takes a unique turnaround, some veterans in the Nigerian music industry have been selected as judges for the first edition of the ThrillerBandz Band Music Challenge.
The event which is slated for Friday 17 and 18 , December 2021 is being put together by Evergreen Musical Company and the management of the National Arts Theatre with endorsement by Lagos State Government.
The show which will be in concert format will feature 50 Live Bands from different ethnic backgrounds and they will be Performing their own original song and song of popular Nigerian music Icon of their choice.
Bimbo Esho the brain behind the idea said the event is being put together to ensure the continued relevance of Live Bands in the State and also encourage originality among upcoming Nigerian musicians.
Esho stated that One of the Judges in the Nigerian Idol music reality Show and talented singer ,Yinka Davies ,Samba Queen Stella Monye and talented musician and Soko Music creator Dayo Kujore will act as Judges while the Veteran Music Producer and the producer of Sir Shina Peters hit album Ace ,Laolu Akins will be giving a mentorship talk to the contestants.
The ThrillerBandz event no doubt will be fun filled as it will be held in a relaxed environment with unique ambience, colorful lightnings, maximum security and under strict Covid 19 compliance.
