Ilorin based veteran musician, Alhaji Jaigbade Alao is dead.
It was gathered that Alao popularly called the King of Music died early Monday morning at the age of 121.
The Dadakuada music legend reigned with colleagues such as Odolaye Aremu, Aremu Ose, Iyabo Baluu, Omoeke Amao and Iya Tamiwo.
He was turbaned in 1991 as the King of Musicians (Oba Olorin) by the late Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Zulu Karnaini Gambari and received an honorary doctorate degree in Music from Kwara State University in 2018.
His remains has been buried according to Islamic rites
