Pentouch Following the controversy surrounding the installation of Chief Lekan Balogun as the next Olubadan ,Ibadan High Chiefs who formed the bulk of Coronet Obas are currently ganging up against the former Governor of Oyo State , Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja.
Investigation revealed that since the Coronet Obas discovered that the Olubadan Stool will not be an easy ride for the Chief Lekan Balogun because of the pending Court case they have been running from pillar to post trying to mount pressures on those concerned.
Worse still their fear was said to have been aggravated by a petition written by the former Attorney General of Oyo State Michael Lana to the current Governor of the state Seyi Makinde stating the legal implications of installing Balogun as the new Olubadan.
Investigation further revealed that the Balogun led Coronet Obas are currently meeting at a designated place in order to fine tune their next move .
A source close to the meeting said that they (Coronet Obas ) have also constituted a legal team that will look into all the legal angles and give them the right direction.
Pt learned that the High Chiefs are working on a lacuna in the Oyo State Chieftaincy declaration which states that for a new Olubadan to emerge the five high chiefs on the kingship line must agree on a particular candidate.
As at the time of publishing the High Chiefs are still meeting.
Meanwhile sympathizers are to be tropping into the Popo yemoja home of the Late Oba Saliu Adetunji to condole with the family.
