Co-ordinator Tunji Bello caucus of APC Alhaji Alao Megida has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a special gift by God to Nigeria.
Speaking during the presentation of foodstuffs and cash in Lagos on Sunday,Megida said that the nation had practically been brought down to its knees by the past rulers,whose corruptive rule had crippled the economy adding that by now,things would have degenerated into irredeemable abyss,if not for the timely intervention President Tinubu
While calling Nigerians to re-elect Tinubu the veteran grassroots mobiliser said it would amount to the height of foolishness for anyone to ever contemplate voting for any of the opposition parties because apart from the questionable antecedents of their leaders,the parties appear to be virtually non-existent, absolutely clueless, helpless, disorganized and out of sight because “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a man specially chosen by God to preside over the helm of affairs of the nation at this critical period.”
”One would indeed have expected that by now they would have gotten their acts together, particularly at this crucial moment that the general election is almost at hand,but surprisingly,it seems as if they are yet to start, because they are virtually non-existent, and practically nowhere to be found.” said the Co-ordinator Mainland Independent Group, a Lagos-based socio-political group affiliated to APC.
”This is why it would be the height of foolishness for anyone with his senses intact to ever venture to support or vote for any of the opposition parties,knowing that it is apparent that they will never win” said Megida
” Even as mere private citizen out of government, Tinubu led the APC to unseat an incumbent government and went ahead again to lead the campaign that returned Buhari for a second, despite the popular clamour against him for the harsh economy prevailing during his rule.The same Tinubu who accomplished this spectacular feat is now the president you expect to defeat.That is a joke taken too far,so anyone who decides to go ahead and for for the opposition,you are on your own” Megida stressed further.
”They knew that they were joking,that’s why they had tried frantically to use every means possible to bring down our beloved president before the international community especially the U.S. and its current president, Donald Trump,so that what they could not get by vote,they wanted to achieve it through the back-door”
Alhaji Ibrahim Alao Megida,thanked the group’s patron,Hon Tunji Belo for his unalloyed support for the group,in ensuring that it dispenses the philanthropic gesture of poverty Alleviation regularly as at when due.
He also expressed deep appreciation for the campaign vehicles donated to the group by the highly committed Patron,which according to him had contributed in facilitating their sustained and intensified campaign efforts over the past few months.
Some campaign souvenirs were also distributed.They bore colourful imprints of President Tinubu,Lagos Governorship candidate,Dr. Obafemi Hamzat,among others.
Present at the occasion which took place at the Casino-located premises of LAWMA in Yaba are Women Leader of the caucus and ex Chairperson Conference of Principals,Lagos State,Alhaja Folashade Morenikeji,Alhaja Mojisola Adewale, Alhaji Tunde Oselu Oyedeji,among others.
