Traditional worshipers at Gbirimi community, new Oko Oba , Lagos have performed rituals to appease the gods over an alleged killing of a traditional worshipper Akeem Adebisi by church members during Oro festival in the community recently.
According to Akindele Olasukami a.k.a Agbomola the ritual (sacrifice) is necessary, because without it there will be no peace in the community stating that for peace to reign they have to perform it.
“We are performing this (sacrifice) today to appease the gods of the community, because if we don’t do it there will be no peace in our community..
” It is because he was killed during the Oro festival, it is not that he was sick or died naturally “Agbomola explained.
