Aged 66, Adeshina gained widespread fame as a household name in the Yoruba movie industry for classic films like Ageku Abela, Oko Abiku, and Kadara Mi. His stage name “Elegbeje” translates to a man heavily fortified with many charms.
He answered a spiritual calling in 2016, walking away from secular filmmaking to dedicate his life to God. He established the Heroes of Faith Gospel Film Ministry and Pastored a church in Ogun State.
In 2025, he returned to the screen, focusing exclusively on Christian cinema, and debuted his own gospel movie titled Egberun Odun (1,000 Years).
